Pedaling for Paws

Welcome back Friends,

Thank you for visiting our home page. I am excited to provide some new updates on our 2022 biking adventure. In June Frank and I completed the BRAG ride (Bike Ride Across Georgia). This was our first organized event and the most significant mileage logged in back to back to back days and a single week.

We completed RAGBRAI (Bike Ride Across Iowa) another week long event July 23 - July 30 logging just over 450 miles for the week. It was an awesome event which we shared with 30,000 plus biking enthusiasts.

These organized events and our daily training rides were all in preparation for the "Ultimate" journey along the southern tier bike route from San Diego California to St. Augustine, Florida.

On Thursday September 29, 2022 we departed Ocean Beach in San Diego, California and headed east. Our first 4 days took us over significant mountains and across scorching hot desert logging 267 miles upon our arrival in Yuma Arizona on Sunday October 2, 2022.

This series of biking events are recreational, fun, bucket list items, but they are also giving us the opportunity to support and represent a fantastic charity.

We are raising funds for an amazing organization, K9s For Warriors, and we need your help. This charity is based out of Ponte Vedra, FL, just 20 miles from where the journey will conclude. Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs coming from high-kill rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery. It is the nation’s largest provider of service dogs for veterans.

Please consider helping us help those who gave so much to us. No amount is too small; anything you can donate is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration, your donation, and your prayers for a safe adventure.

Thank you to all the family, friends, and associates who have so generously donated and supported us already.

If you would like to follow our adventure Frank and I will be frequently posting updates to our personal facebook pages but we also have the following facebook group set up - https://www.facebook.com/groups/coast2coast4charity.

The group page has been set up by our outstanding Support Team coordinator Jimmy Frank, who along with his wonder dog Yeti is providing us with traveling room and board (Jimmy is driving Frank's RV) at each of our stopping points each day.

Thank you,

Bob & Frank
