OPST Banquet 2019
Every year the second week of April is National Telecommunicators' Week. It's the week we recognize and thank the men and women "behind the mic" of 911 emergency dispatch centers.
It is time to celebrate our 23rd annual 9-1-1 Dispatcher awards banquet and fundraising event! The Organization of Public Safety Telecommunicators (OPST) is comprised of Call Takers, Dispatchers, Supervisors and Managers from 9-1-1 Public Safety agencies in Placer, El Dorado, Nevada, Sacramento, and Yolo Counties, including state agencies.
This year, the Roseville police and fire dispatchers are hosting our Awards Banquet at The Roseville Sports Center, 1545 Pleasant Grove Blvd, in Roseville, CA on April 6, 2019. During the banquet, each dispatch center or agency will be presenting their TELECOMMUNICATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD. These awards are presented to police and fire 9-1-1 dispatchers, call takers and supervisors in recognition of their exemplary performance and contributions to the community. As well, appreciation of their personal sacrifices made because of the professions job demands; including shift work, critical incidents, last minute schedule adjustments, and emergency callouts.
K9s for Warriors is one of our selected charities. Monies raised from ticket sales, silent auction items and this page will go directly to K9s for Warriors.
